We are proud to pre-announce a scientific webinar arranged by the Norwegian Baromedical Society. This meeting is particularly focused to the scientific and medical audience. The presentations will be in English to facilitate participation for foreign guests.
The details remains to be planned, but this meeting will be arranged as a collaboration between the two main Norwegian hyperbaric research environments: The Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim (represented by Ingrid Eftedal) and Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen (represented by Tor-Arne Pisani Valen).
The presentations will focus on two main topics:
How is endothelial function affected by changes in ambient pressure (diving)
How is cardiovascular function affected by diving
The presenters will not claim to have the full answer to these questions, but this will be the opportunity to learn the state of the art within these areas.
