Dr. Melissa Ilardo has a background in astrobiology from NASA and evolutionary genetics from the University of Copenhagen and is an assistant professor at the University of Utah. In this webinar she will present groundbreaking work on how some indigenous people - such as the Bajau of Indonesia and the Haenyeo of Korea - are genetically adapted to freediving.

Dr. Ilardo has gained much attention both in- and outside of the scientific community for bringing science and diving together in an inspiring and deeply human way. Her work is featured e.g., in National Geographic, and by major news outlets like New York Times and CNN.

Did you miss our webinar on Sep 23rd? No reason to despair! You can download a recording here. This post will be removed in a couple of weeks, but the recording will be available in our library ("Bibliotek" in Norwegian).
